Grief can look like so many things. When you're going through the motions of grief, you also can't predict yourself in the same way. You might feel dissociated and out of it one day, like everything is a blur that you're moving through. Like you're in a movie that feels detached from you, but it's only your own life. It may feel so painful that you have physical pain and crying to the point of screaming. Some days will be better than others, and it takes time, but it always gets better. When you're on the other side and having to console, there are numerous ways to help. Maybe someone needs you to distract them like you're a circus clown, and maybe they just need peace, quiet, and a hug. There's no way of knowing until you're in the situation, but it's a situation that everyone has been in. If there's one ubiquitous thing in the world, it's loss.
